We did a circular walk round Musbury Castle this week. It’s a very short drive from Tritchayne Farm Cottages and you get some spectacular views of the Axe Valley and out to sea. Be prepared for some steep climbs though but it’s worth the effort!
Sarah had a lovely time at Coastal Craft Collective in Seaton this week at their driftwood creations craft session. Loads of different crafts on offer and very reasonably priced. A good autumn/winter activity for guests at Tritchayne Farm Cottages but make sure you book as they’re very popular.
Some lovely October weather has encouraged us to keep up the Seaton sea swims. We attracted quite an audience of onlookers this time. I think they were just waiting for us to back out so I went in twice as quick as normal!
Sarah’s apple pies need some work before they’re good enough for the welcome pack. Luckily Becs is happy to keep sampling the practice pies and the scones continue to be popular with our lovely guests!
Another trip to the donkey sanctuary, a great spot for a stroll and an excellent cafe, not to mention the lovely donkeys!! We also found the children’s play area this time, it was difficult to get Sarah off the tractor!

This week’s walk was to Golden Cap and Seatown. We parked at the national trust car park at Langdon Hill, and from there it’s a short but steep hike up to the amazing views from Golden Cap. Then it’s all downhill into Seatown and the beach. Highly recommended, or if you’re after a shorter more
Amazingly the sweet peas are still flowering at Tritchayne Farm Cottages. Long may they last and to substitute the runner beans our guests are now being treated to a Tritchayne fruit bowl with home grown apples and pears!

Our latest wildlife sighting at Tritchayne Farm Cottages – a beautiful Kingfisher! Don’t worry, plenty of fish left in our lovely pond.
Autumn is here at Tritchayne Farm Cottages and with it the beautiful red leaves and a glut of apples. Maybe we need to switch to an apple pie in the welcome pack!
