Deserted beaches and fossils

Family adventure to our own deserted beach at Charton Bay, halfway between Seaton and Lyme Regis. The only beach accessible from this stretch of coastpath. Sarah kayaked there via the slabs for a look at these amazing fossils and Becs and Ruan hiked from Seaton for a picnic.

Gardening rewards!

Reaping some rewards in the gardens at Tritchayne Farm Cottages this week. Plenty of runner beans and tomatoes to share with our guests and the apples, pears and plums aren’t far behind. Plus we’ve got sweet peas coming out of our ears! They look good but they smell even better.

Family time

The glasshouse looking spick and span ready for our family group booking this week. Tritchayne Farm Cottages is the ideal place if you want to be together but not on top of each other all the time!

Seaton gardens

July 24, 2019 The gardens in Seaton are looking glorious. There are tennis courts, a playground and Jurassic themed adventure good to enjoy at the Seafield Gardens near the seafront and in Jubilee Gardens on the first Friday evening of the month it’s Seaton Eats, a fun a friendly street food market.

Axe Cliff Golf Club (and cafe!)

July 24, 2019 It’s a climb but the views from the coast path above Axe Cliff Golf Club are well worth it. If you’re feeling energetic you can play a round. Alternatively just visit the golf club café – the terrace has great views of the beach!
